Help needed

I have just been told that the crank in my 4.2 is cracked and i need help. The sprinting season starts in 2 weeks so i need a standard 4.2 crank in good condition to drop into it in the next week.

I do not want to go the breakers route for a complete engine as everything else in the engine is new and I won't know if the crank is any good till its taken out.

I know these things are like hens teeth, but if anyone has a spare I will be their slave forever.

Try Andy at APM, or Topcats, or Steve Howards outfit (can;t remeber what they're called this week). They all rebuild engines and so may have one around. It was possible last year to get ex tuscan challenge cranks from John Reid racing, but that would mean line boring the mains up to 2.5".......

Steve Howard is the person sorting it out. He's already tried APM, Topcats and TVR Power. I previously tried Ausetec for parts but they are keeping their spare parts for an existing client rather than selling them on.
