Anybody with a set of 4.2 cats I could borrow for MoT?

Hi all,

Title says it all really.

I'm having a new exhaust made for the Cerb' but it's touch and go whether the old cats have had it or not, I won't know until I take the car for it's MoT next week.

So, if I need it, does anyone in Kent have a pair fo good 4.2 cats I could use for the MoT if needs be?

I'm up against it a bit as I'm on a shakedown day for the new TVRCC Sprint season at North Weald on 4th March and I need to get it road legal for that!

Typical isn't it, you think you have all the time in the world and before you know it...

I have some from an early 4.5. I believe they are the same length.

Will see if the exhaust guy has a gas analyser to see if I do have a problem.

Im a mile away from brands. Ive never had an MOT with them on so i would assume they are good!! Can't promise though. But your more than welcome to borrow them

I have a set of late 4.5's you can borrow for an MOT. Live at Brands Hatch, well just down the road from. Well in fact near to Mike, so not a lot of point in my post. So I'm going to go away now . You might want to measure and post the length just in case.

I think the 4.5 are longer, as I remember looking at some 4.5 decats and they were too long

Thanks very much for the offers, I'm hoping to get the car back either today or tomorrow, it's booked in for an MoT Monday 8:30 so I'll know then if there's a problem.

Only just spotted this, but if they are still needed, I've got a set of cats you can borrow Tim (won't be at home till 9am tomorrow though - so probably too late)......

Thanks to everyone who offered help.

I've just got it through the MoT allbeit a retest!

Blasted thing failed on handbrake efficiency so I had to spend 4 hrs adjusting the rear brake shoes, dropping my brand new exhaust, removing heat shield and adjusting the handbrake cable, but ce la vie it was worth it as I now have the precious green form!

For anyone who needs an MoT around Canterbury, drop me a line for the details of the MoT station as the guy carrying out the test was very 'fair' on emissions.

Just need to prep the car for the first sprint outing of the season at North Weald next Sunday Yeehaaaa!!!

It's only a 'shakedown' day this Sunday, so not many are out. Only 4 TVRs on the entry list I received yesterday.

Mark Harris is out in his Cerb' don't know if he posts on here or what his 'name' would be.

Our first 'real' outing is at North Weald on 18th march.

We are doing a round at Brands this year, so that and Lydden are the closest.
