HELP

I've been out this morning for a run and got back to put shopping away, ready for another proper run out.

But it won't start!!

Can anyone tell me of possible reasons before I assume the starter has packed up with no warning?

The ignition does come on, and the fuel pump does prime. But no start.
I did plug the road angel in, which is near the immobiliser key, which may have moved it, but I have fiddled with that too, and still no joy.

The car is not in a position to be pushed into garage, so I'm stuck.

It was probably just a bit angry with you for going home to empty the shopping before going for a proper run.

I suspect you've had the "cerb won't start but if I leave it for a while, or hold down the black button for a couple of minuted then it will" problem. Have a look back through recent week's threads about "starting problems".

It seems to occur after the car has been fully up to temperature and then stopped, locked and left for a few minutes. Try straight away and it'll be ok; try some time after and it'll be ok. Try somewhere in between and it'll seem to do everything it should except turn the starter.
