I think that will be a NO, but if you have some other work done, like suspension or re-map he may be persuaded.

If all services have been done according to your logbook it should be due for a 12000 mile service, I think. That's the dearer of the 2 for a Cerbera. You can view the extra stuff carried out on a 12000 mile service on TVR Powers website and the differance between the 6 & 12 thousand is less than £150. (6000 - £536, 12000 - £674)
TVR Power is highly recommended by the way.

12k service interval is a big one should be done every 12months or 12k. 6 k are interims. also valves need to be checked 'regularly' (speak to engineer) which I think is 400 odd pound job. this is what I have been told and it seems to make sense considering the number of components on the car designed for excited sports driving and tracks rather than motorway mile munching.

Thanks folks. Think i might go for TVR Power, although Peter Smiths at Hatton is nearer - anyone used them ? I did hear some questionable things about them when i had an elise so never used them.

On valve front - how do i know if they need doing ? Will they tell me on the service - or should it be done as part of a 12k anyway ? seems to be 'if required' on the Power website.

I think they check the clearances on the 12000 mile service and only charge extra depending on how many need adjusting.
