ribbon cables

hi guys does anyone know if the ribbon cables will fit either way and if they are put in wrong way round will it f@@k the black box up just asking because i got to change four of em as you may have read on previous posts, heater control has ribbon and so does steering wheel function box.dont want to cause them to cook when im fitting had enough problems since the battery escapade, just want her back on the road now im missing the buzz

Depends what you mean by 'fit either way'. Just make sure that if your conecting Box 'A' to Box 'B' with a ribbon connector, than just make sure that Pin 1 on Box 'A' connects to pin 1 on Box 'B' and so on.

thanks jens what i mean is eg the heater control box in passenger footwell has a ribbon hanging down so when i reconnect to the replacement box can,t see any numbers or any sign as to which way round it fits i may fit it wrong way round, when i took all the damaged boxes out i assumed the ribbon would only fit one way but it would appear it will fit either way
