Wipers don't park

Hi all, my wipers have stopped parking. They just stop mid screen whereever they are when I switch them off.

What causes this and how do I fix it please?

Self-park switch attached to the motor. Cheap part. not terribly difficult to get to either. I'm about to do mine for the same reason.

Mine seems to have gone again, (just over a year) I'm sure it cost less than a fiver from Fernies. Not so sure about the easy to change though! Ok if you have have small hands/wrist that happen to rotate through 360 degs.

You probably have to remove the expansion tank but that doesn't look to onerous.

Take off the plastic surround at the base of the windscreen. Decide if you can access the motor (passenger side) without removing expansion tank or not. Remove if necessary. Take off front plate of motor. Switch should be obvious at the bottom of the motor (I believe).

You probably should be able to pick one up off "Mini Bitz" in Cahir.

A mate of mine just did up a Mini and said he's got a lot of stuff available off the shelf.

Bloody dangerous website. They accept paypal so I don't even need to know what I've done with the credit card.

I escaped having bought only the switch and some anti-squeal pads for the rear brakes but it was a close call for a while. I could see the uprated clutch sitting there and wondering when, if ever, I might need one.

Mine's just gone too.
The switch is buried so the expansion tank will have to come out and my Indie said that
means bleeding the system so the job's multiplying in which case I might wait for the next service.
