flicking temp gauge

over the last couple of days my temp gauge has started to flick occasionally, it continues to work but i wondered if its on its way out.

sender unit maybe?

any ideas?

Mine does that too ... interested to know why?

it's ok, mine did that occasionally but never had any problems... it seems to do it whilst in lots of traffic, but as soon as the fans came than it was fine

no such animal - it's a capilary style gauge.

I put a new unit in mine a year ago , and that flickered from day one.

i had the same problem, happened on 2 journeys during a particularly cold spell a few months ago and its seemed to right itself....
