Well my baby is in for her respray and it must be said, so far I have found them excellent, I await the final result... HOWEVER - IMO they when having a job done, a company, even if designated by the insurance company should be able to offer a like for like (or similar) courtesy car. Instead I have a week in......... A FIAT PANDA, I doubt it's even 1,000cc and such is its' appeal that when me and my girl friend (note the space, not "girlfriend" (I wish)) went up the stables the other day, she pulled alongside it and said "grab you stuff and get in mine, I'm not being seen dead in that". Oh the indignation 
Garretts are very good indeed. My dad was in the motor trade in Essex for over 40yrs and speaks very highly of Garretts. He suggested that I use them to repair my Mini, but I did it myself in the end.
With regards to your Panda, what was the Cerbera in for? I would have thought that your insurance company would have made the effort and given you a Boxter or something.

laugh: Thats so funny. I remember a couple of years ago owning a C70 (soz) that needed some paint and they gave me an old Punto for a couple of days. I got the missus to open the car garage door for me on the way home. Drove it straight in. Never saw it again until time to take it back. Imagine being seen climbing out of a Punto??? Its less embarressing climbing out the back of a sheep!
If it is on someone elses insurance (i.e. a their fault) then you should deffo get at least something close to like for like, best in these instances to use someone like AnniesDad as a claim handler as they will know what you can legally expect and will fight to get it for you. Of course if you don't push it the insurers will try to get away with whatever is cheapest for them. If it is on your own insurance then it depends on the terms set out in the policy, I remember Direct Line didn't include it as standard and you had an additional £30 charge a year extra (am guessing at the figure) to include a courtesy car on the policy, then you read the print and it got you a maximum of 7 days and it was a Punto or similar only. Bearing in mind they took 3 months to pay out on my theft claim, I think they 7 days would have been fairly insignificant.
I do remember putting my old BMW in for some warranty work, it was going to be away about 1-2 weeks so I insisted on a courtesy car, they gave me a boggo 316 and not even an estate (mine was 5 series touring). I explained to them that I take my dog everywhere and that without an estate it might get a bit dirty but they said that was all they had. Suffice to say we had a particularly muddy walk the day I was due to return it and the back seat was not pretty, I felt like a right bar steward afterwards but hey ho

Two weeks now.... AND I STILL HAVE THE PANDA!!!!!!
Oh well, they did phone me up and we had a conversation along these lines:
"We've found some more bumps and scuffs and stone chips and such like in areas that weren't on the job form. You weren't aware of any damage at all to the car at all before the vandalism were you?"
"Errrmmmm...."
"NO - YOU *WEREN'T* AWARE OF AY DAMAGE TO IT AT ALL WERE YOU?"
"Oh no, none, it was mint"
"Good stuff, we'll add it on the insurance companies' bill then"
Looks like I've got pretty much an entire re-spray. And some re-fibred bits done as well
Might get it back by Wednesday if I'm lucky. Then they can have their go-kart back.

Indeed I'm sure it will. And actually, the Panda can still be fun too (at 3am on an empty road). Predictable amounts of understeer and drift, even if that is only when throwing it at a roundabout at 40mph. There is now a guy at work who is trying not to admit that I managed to scare the hell out of him with a 1 litre car
Racing lines and actually knowing what you're doing rock *For the record - I never drive "on the edge" or dangerously. I value my own life too much and knowing how to slightly drift or flick a car is different to boy racing nutters who drive without reserve. Always drive responsibly kids

Lol! Y'know, sometimes there are those odd occasions when I miss the fact that I can't do that any more. Just throwing the car about and drifting it round a roundabout at 35 / 40mph.... Then I just find a straight and bury the Cerbera's throttle and that reminds me that I still have one of the best creations ever made
Dropped in to see how they're getting on today and... YAY Its all done bar a day of poilishing and the badges / plates to be stuck back on. After 18 days with the panda I'm absolutely itching to get the Cerb back now. They said I might get it back tomorrow (errrrr.... nope hang on, that's today now) or at the very latest, Saturday.
