busted exhaust fixing

Busted the exhaust fixing mount on a blast around Essex yesterday. The exhaust is the linked decat one i think. What I want to know is, are mounts standard or will I need to find out the exact exhaust type to get a replacement? System was fitted by TCS i believe.
Also, I'm sure my car sits too low coz I am forever twutting the underside of the car (exhausts) over the most deceptively flat bits of road eg even on A roads, this was before the fixing broke leaving the exhausts even lower - I have AVOs running on a medium damping, how easy would it be to raise the car? Or should I firm up the damping? I'm not that heavy so I don't think a diet is in order. My other fear is that the exhausts simply hang too low. Can anyone tell me what height they run their cars.
My car is SO loud now that I'm considering changing the exhaust system anyway. My wife tells me that our car is 'much' louder than some other cerbs that we've seen so I think I've got a couple of holes or cracks somewhere. Anyone got a suggestion for a sensible (don't shoot me down) replacement exhaust.
It looks like I may have to quieten mine as well.
The local law enforcement have had a word with me about it.
I have the sport pipes AND de-cat too ..... seriously loud.
The link-bars have broken several times on mine and the mounting brackets have come loose also.
It seems to be the Cerbera equivalent of the "common cold", it won't kill it but it's annoying all the same.

Similar thing happened to mine recently. I decided to put the Standard exhaust back on with the cats still off and the noise is much more 'sociable'. I can now leave the house at 6am without waking up my neighbours (who I actually like a lot), and I can make good progress without drawing attention from about a 3 mile radius.
It still makes a great 'booming' noise under acceleration, but around town and at idle it us MUCH quieter - much less 'look at me'!

Southend - Those are Sports Pipes you have fitted, if you have those AND decats it will be really loud. I have a decent spare 4.2 standard back box for sale if your interested.

I've got a pit in the garage once i've cleared all the children's stuff away I'll open it up and have a check over of the system. What I want to do is see if there are any holes or cracks/damage on the current system. Depending on the outcome I may give you a shout.

If so i presume I can ge them from any motor factors. All help much appreciated. I've got a problem in that I'm not entirely sure what that part is called exhaust mount/fixing/clamp? Is it the sort of thing that kwik fit/ATS could sort if so i'll just pop it in there.

Kwikfit or somewhere similar should easily be able to either source the bit you need (I think it's just a bit of bent threaded bar) or fabricate something similar.
Ideally you need to sort out why you are grounding the car out all of the time, this is the reason why you have a knackered exhaust hanger, and without sorting the root cause of the problem it'll just happen again.

Cheers Jules - actually the whole exhaust system looks low, the pipes are not at all close to the cut out moulds in the boot floor. I guess I need to have the exhaust refitted. It is this inch or so drop that is the problem. The rest of the car looks ok so I assume the ride height is standard.

I had a similar problem recently. Seems that every time I went over a small bump the thing grounded. Looked underneath to find that the ends didnt fit in the valance very well and it looked very low. So I bought some new rubber mounts - very cheap and took off both end cans and remounted - twisting slightly at the same time until the whole thing now fits very snug indeed. Job done. very simple. No more grounding.
