Alternative wiper wash jet

Just finished fitting some wiper arm mounted wash jets that I got from Vehicle Wiring Products.
I also removed the wipers and repositioned them to get them sitting lower on the screen. I decided the 16" blade on the passenger side was overkill. A 14" blade allows the wiper arm to be moved down so it sits much lower on the screen. I considered aero blades but can't find any 14" ones so fitted Champions for a change from the Bosch ones that were on.
I had to enlarge the slot in the washer jets to get them to fit but other than that was fairly straight forward.
There are 3 adjustable jets that put out a major amount of washer fluid. They are behind the blade. But since the blades are already moving before any water gets through anyway I figured it wouldn't matter much.
The wash jets are £3.74 each and the clips 79p each - plus VAT and p&p
I was going to get the Leven blades but there's nothing wrong with the arms that are on so opted for a cheap washer jet upgrade instead.
Not sure about the green pipe work though

A nice bit of work.
For me the leven conversion was all about getting the wipers to sit properly, although the passenger side blade flexes around the screen as well. The standard arm on the passenger side really needs to be bent downwards by 15 degress or so. Instead the standard arm sits straight, which is why the wiper sits at a strange angle.

The passenger arm on mine is angled opposite way to the driver side. I think if it was straight or even angled slightly the opposite way it could come down the screen even further. I did consider trying to bend it in a vice but didn't want to destroy it and put the car off the road until I got a replacement.
The near side end of the shorter passenger blade is still slightly proud of the screen but only about 1/4 inch max on the tip and for less than an inch in length. So not too bad a result.
I also put straight connectors into the pipes just inside the inner bonnet panel so that they can be disconnected easily when the panel needs to come off.

Its a 98 4.2. The vents really do work and are powerful enough when angled correctly to blow around to the side windows too. They can be closed off if need be as well, which I understand the holes around the windscreen can't.
The heater is actually very effective. So much so that it needs to be turned off for periods of time to cool the cabin a bit.
And in the summer the air con works surprisingly well.
