Sure sign Ive put it up for sale!
Can someone give me some clues as to what I should do, I went to go out in the cerb but couldn't get into gear easily, reverse was the worst making a grinding noise!
Checked the Clutch Fluid Resevoir, looks empty, just a small amount of black fluid in the corner.
Footwell is a little damp but there has also been a lot of rain during the week and it doesn't look like anything but rain water.
I don't really have anywhere to work on the car is it's parked on the street so ideally i'd get it to my usual garage, 40 miles away! If one of the seals is leaking on the master or slave and I top it up how quick can these leaks be? Should it hold for the 40 mile trip or am I best to just have it towed @ £150?

Sounds like the slave has gone, seeing as there isnt any fluid in the footwell. Can you see of there is any fluid on the floor?
Joolz supplied the slave, and seals I was under the impression they shouldnt have these issues any more, the ad says you had the clutch done a year or so ago? Who did it? I would go back to them first.
As a quick fix you can fill it up with fluid and see of you can bleed it, to get some pressure back. Then Drive it to your workshop, otherwise see if you can limp around the corner and call the AA/RAC.
But really she is just throwing a fit because you have it up for sale, and she feels cheap!

If you still have a visible amount of fluid in the reservoir then I would guess that the leak may not be that rapid, worth a try to top it up and bleed it (doesn't need to be perfect just enough to get some pressure back). I was losing fluid gradually recently, topped it up a few times and it got me around a fair bit before I got it sorted. Spongey pedal a lot but was still driveable.

Has it only been a year? God it seems longer. Well in that case it was done late 2005 but that was the clutch the slave was done 12months before that.
