Well as far as cars are concerned I've had a poor month. Cerb has been vandalised, sent all the way down to Austec from Aberdeenshire to get a respray and engine upgrade. Now the insurance company are messing me about so work cannot start yet (Don't get me started on that one). Then got caught speeding for the first time ever 2 weeks ago, 1mph over the fixed penalty limit and then got caught again this morning for 3 points. So seriously considering selling the Cerb and buying a Land Rover TDi as I cannot afford to lose my licence and its the only interesting vehicle I can think of that will struggle to go above 60.
So if anyone is interested in a Cerb which will look as good as new give me a shout, of course I may not feel like this in a weeks time but as of now the thought of having the Cerb and having to pootle around everywhere in it at 60 is not filling me with joy so let me know?

Sorry about your bad luck but unfortunately the Cerb is one of those cars that is actually illegal while stationary, let alone on the move.
Its not the sort of car you can merge into the background with. A few times i've gone past a BIB car on the motorway at legal speed and its followed me, including coming off at exits.
If speed is your bag then can I suggest you would beat any Cerb on a trip across this police state (sorry fair country) with a BMW M5 and a road angel.
If not then the only thing I can suggest which works for me when I have to travel slowly is have both windows wound fully down, and the wife in the car.

sorry to hear what u have said...cerbs seem to force u to drive fast...and lets face it aLL THEY DO IS GIVE US A LOT OF JOY A LOT OF PAIN AND ALOT OF EXPENSE/;..truth is..life is like this and we dont give up on living ..we can never be permanently happy ..this is impossible its all about highs and lows..just ride this one out ..there will be a high once its has subsided

I know what you are saying, I was so looking forward to getting it back as well fully resprayed and with more power and still am to be honest, just having a likely 7 or 8 points leaves me close to a ban if caught again. Although I am tempted to challenge the first one if it goes to court. The speeding this morning was not even in the Cerb it was in a bloody 1.8 Focus as well.
If I get a good response from the insurance company that will make me a bit happier so we'll see.
On the bright side my first kid Charlie is 9 weeks old now and when I get home and see him it makes you forget about all the other hassles in life. Cheesy but true.

Never saw the program last night, but things like that tend to make me a bit weepy, in a manly sort of way of course so I try and avoid them.

Though I've bought and read the drivers survival handbook by martin thwaite (ex police chief) and I know I've got them sussed on a number of points if it goes to court.

They got me first time on the long straight closest to Cruden Bay, second time on the long straight downhill into Newburgh, probably the 2 safest stretches on the whole of that road but also the easiest to hide on and most likely to generate revenue. Sorry I meant catch dangerous scum of the earth speeders.

F***ers eh!!!!, you're not wrong. Go as fast as you like on the windy dangerous bits of road without fear of prosection where people who can't drive slow down = not so much money for them...
