Well the bloody thing died on me again today, driving down the road speedo, rev counter goes mad, so coast to side of road - nothing, mill light on but nothing happens when I press start, no fuel pump or anything so I leave it 30 mins and try again and it starts. Looked at the big fuse and there doesn't seem to be one there, both wires are just joined together.
Does anyone have any ideas at all, off to Germany soon and can't take the chance, only done 85 miles since service and let me down twice.

the software said fan 1 & 2 are on but only 1 was running so swapped the fan leads round and alls working ok now. just need to sort the aircon switch and the indicators not canceling. will give it a run tomorrow see if it still cuts out on me.
The electrics on these are a joke!! but still love it to bits. only had it three months and spent nearly 3 grand up to now my wife just looks at me with dispare.

Certainly no expert in these matters but have to question why it has no big fuse. If we assume it was possibly continually blowing big fuses then perhaps there is an inherent problem with the electrics/alternator - pushing too much power out or spiking or something. Dunno really just thinking aloud - either that or the connection of the 2 cables is just not very good and maybe it suffers when they get hot and hence starts to cut out the supply, might explain why it happens after a while rather than all the time.
Possibly you have an intermittent short to earth. Possibly through one of the fans.
You really want to jump up and down and rejoice when it doesn't work, because it means your intermittency is more easily traced.

well found there was a bad connecion to one of the fans so replaced the connector now both fans come one also my aircon now works but I have a constant MIL light on all the time, one problem leads to another, cant belive i just paid £1830.00 to get this sorted including crap standard bilstinesu spension replaced and I found the problem myself. Totally gutted. going to book in at TCS next week and have it s0orted properly including again Protech shocks which I asked for in the first place but was told they where crap for the road! - again totaly gutted
Plus the firking thing nearly killed me twice, caus it just stears where the hell it wants to, round town at 30 mph just vears off and nearly hits a parked car, wife said she will never go in it again never mind the kids so if TCS is looking please help sort it out !!

Seriously, it sounds like you are using the wrong people. Speak to Jools asap and see if he can help, not my neck of the woods so not sure who else is up there. Ian in Middlewhich (Torque TVR it is I think) is often praised but I think is further still from you than Jools so maybe not much good.
Keep the faith chum, it's just the car testing your mettle.
