Tracking and Tyres

Hello all,

What are the correct settings for the tracking for the Cerb? Mine is toeing out and has worn the inside edges of the fronts badly. My local tyre place hasn't a clue as to what the toe in/out setting should be.

Also, what's the current thinking for tyres? I've got Bridgestones on at the moment and the seem fine, but will change the back to something with a slightly narrower shoulder at the back to avoid rubbing. Would like the front to match, suggestions welcome!!

I've got eagle F1's on mine. They seem very good in all conditions.

The Cerbs are designed to be set up with negative camber front and rear.

This WILL eat eat the inside of the tyres.

I have exactly the same problem with mine, it was noted at the last service and when they checked the toe in-out everthing was spot on. i will dig out the settings (if i can find them) and get back to you. The TVR dealer said that this is not uncommon as sometimes he finds them set up for track/road use compared to just road. When asked how i drive? (as fast as possible) then best to leave them for most grip in the corners.
That said, i think the wear is excessive so when i get new ones i will toe them in a bit. i would say that the inner 30mm is down to 1mm but with 5mm every where else. I have only done 9K on these and they are Faulken tyres which i have to say i have found to be very good in terms of performance. The rears have worn very evenly and i imagine another 6-8k left on these.

True, but I think mine is toeing out far too much, the tyres have nearly full tread everywhere but the inner edges have worn to the steel belting.

Cheers for the responses chaps, it's going to Horizon in a couple of weeks for its MOT so I'll get them to do it then.

Anyone know of a decent price tyre supplier?

i always use www.mytyres.co.uk for tyres. I had exactly the same prob on my fronts, wore down on the inside by about an inch but the rest of the tyre was fine. Just put 2 bridgestone ones on the front (that what was on it already and i thought they were ok)

Yep, I use them a lot too - will do some checking on prices later.

Good to know I'm not the only one eating tyres!
