clutch problem with my Cerbera

yesterday on my way back home with my 4.2 v8 cerbera I had a bad traffic jam (more than one hour). This moring the clutch did not work. I could not get any gear in. I checked the fluid in the master cylinder and it is fine (clear and full). There is no fluid under the car.

Until today I never had problems with the clutch. Any ideas?

sounds like mine when the clutch went .. clutch fingers gone by the sounds of it i'm afraid pal.

Cerberas must be the only car ive heard this on.Is the metal really that fatigued? Or did it only happen on a certain year?

i know ... its weird. Mine was absolutely fine one day, following day it wasn't having any of it. No gears at all.

I drove to work parked up about 8.30 and all was fine, got back in for return journey at 5.00 and clutch felt ok but no gears, garage later told me the fingers had gone.

Spent some houres bleeding the clutch but the problem is still there, I find the pedal a bit lighter but I think I will fix a complet new clutch!. Slave/Master cylinder and a new clutch, but which one is the best?

I think I´m not the first cerbera driver with this problem.

Don't apologise for your English - it's very good!

I would recommend a Raceproved clutch from Clever Trevor (based in London). Had one fitted a couple of months ago and it's been great. Lovely and smooth. I believe there has been a lot of development work on the Raceproved clutch and amongst other benefits, it should have a long life too. www.clever-trevor.net.

I agree - I don't know if you have any TVR specialists in Germany, but if you get it Mail Order, any good Mechanic should be able to fit it , someone on here has done an instruction guide, If you want it, send me an email and I will send it to you.
