Anyone Supercharged a Cerbera?

Was looking at the most recent copy of Sprint, more specifically the supercharged RV8 chims and wondering if anyone had supercharged a Cerb 4.2? What sort of power output can be achieved without totally blowing the engine in no time?

There was a supercharged Cerbera for sale on PH maybe a year back, seem to remember it was in Belgium, conversion done by a company in Holland, looked a nice job if I remember.

I was 1 Hour away from it when the bugger bought it!


it was an AJP8, with charge cooling in a beautifully constructed ally induction set up.

Great minds think alike, I was also trying to work out a way to buy it, is it still on mainland europe?

think so mate, went to a local in the end - belgium/holland.

the dealer had had it for quite a while after P-exing on a porsche (no one trusted TVRs over there, especially modified ones!)

only saw the photos...but it was a belter. I emailed the company that did the conversion...about £15ks worth!!!

It was a very low boost setup, which was poorly rigged up, huge pipework etc. Stock high-compression engine, hardly something to shout about, just had the bling factor when the hood went up, probably bought the power up to a mapped-redrose 4.5 level.

Currently there are 2 supercharged projects underway, Campbells D1SC supercharged cerbie (being built by the Salisbury massive Autocraft - attempting 700hp+?), and Austec Racing's F1R supercharged NOS/Meth-Injection Phoenix (attempting 1400hp+).

Maybe I'll leave this idea for now and have a 100BHP NOS jet for those top end times when you just need an extra kick.

There is talk of Power doing a 4.5 Cerb soon and Ian at Middlewich is punting hard for the guinea pig job. I think Dom may be considering a speed six first though.

Bruv, I had a dream, I pushed hard for it to happen, I went with a company that promised me the world, and every 3 months kept telling me it will be finished, it will be finished, it will be finished... i trusted the guys there, I spent 80 odd quid on petrol every weekend going down to see what had been done to only face more reasons why nothing had been done... my heart broke literally... I trusted, I was excited, it was a dream coming true (so I thought).... but i walked into a wall of dissapointment, if I had known that I was being misled about the time it would take (I still have the original fax for how cost breakdown and how long it would take) I would have never taken the project on... and to be really honest if I had a workshop and the machines and tools I would have learnt what I needed to know and built 5 of them buy now, its not rocket science... but thats why we have service providers, you pay and get a job done, so that you dont have to take time out of your life to do things you 'want' and thus can carry on with daily life chores and have your toys to play with when those you pay to do things for you get things done for you. I then was forced to move with another company, who found sooo many problems and issues with what had been done already, things effectively had to start from scratch again, I have faith, but I have run out of time and perseverence to consider this project a dream anymore... it will be finished, maybe then petrol will run through my veins again. But for now, I'm a typical JagV8 driver who drives at a snails pace with a cigar and some mellow laid back music... no engine no induction no exhaust noise... just the tyres rolling away on the tarmac quietly and my cigar...

I have waited nearly six months to have my "Dream" rebuilt to full spec.
More modest than your own, but my dream and still at some cost none-the-less.
It has been returned to me and today I took her out for her first run.
Softly softly as its still not quite run in...but you can tell, she straining at the bit and if you run into the cam she wants to leap forward into the horizon.
