I think that's too much.
I had a local mobile specialist out to look at my car last August. A very nice guy who pressure tested it, pronounced it sound then regassed it. This needed a call to the factory for weight of gas to use (600g) and oil type (Pag 46). He then checked over and ensured it was working well and fitted new caps that were missing.

I've just made a few phone calls to a few other refrigeration engineers and we are all of the same opinion.
If you can't get a definite answer for the amount of gas that should be in the system it is possible to charge it by watching the suction pressure (approx 25psi) and by ensuring there is no frost-back on the suction pipe, even at the coldest setting.
That's how I had to charge mine.
Any decent fridge man should be able to sort it for you.
