Would anyone know where I could get my paws on a 18" RL7 front wheel for my Cerb? confused My new baby seems to have come with some impact damage on the inside of the wheel rim, and a crack that is slowly letting pressure out of the tyre. I'm investigating getting it welded, but I'm not sure if anyone wants to do that, and I don't want to fork out the thick end of a grand for new wheels all round; anyway, I like the RL7s.

All help gratefully received....

Some in the classifieds but it's a full set - good price though I thought, especially with tyres that appear to have some life left.

either that or try the pxwheels chappy ( www.pxwheels.com/tvr.htm ), the 18" RL's fairly rare though so not sure he would have any in but worth a call.

I had exactly the same thing - pothole strike and resultant damage to inner edge of rim. I took it to Bracknell Tyres who said they have a chap to whom they send such things for assessment. He assessed it, decided it was easily rectifiable, welded it, and it's been fine ever since. £50.

This is the reason the RL7 18" rims were withdrawn by TVR, they can and do crack, not nice if you were travelling at speed yikes
