I fixed it!

I know it's not much but... My windscreen washers stopped working, I was left with a dry screen and wipers stuck vertical on the windscreen. Funny how things happen, I had just replaced the Steering wheel stickers and what do you know something stops working. I found the source of the problem, a pipe had come disconnected near the battery. So I removed the top cover (for the first time) and reconnected them, easy. Looking after these Cerbera's is easy?

I know most of you guys do quite a bit of repair yourselves, but for me to solve a problem without a trip to the dealer is quite rewarding, no matter how small.

I had the same problem. In my case it kept coming unpopped as it was under too much tension. Had to extend it (at the join). I think that was the first problem/fix for me also. By my reckoning your next problem will be a rattling bonnet, which you will solve by unscrewing the plastic end pieces to lengthen the rods.

nah, my money's on the next problem being the wiper jet hoses coming out of their retaining clips and melting on the engine

I did have a rattling bonnet but I got HHC to replace the rubber pads and the rubber rings in where the catches go. I fits really snug now and no rattles. I did make sure the pipes where back in their clips as I did think they are quite close to hot parts of the engine if not clipped in.

I've just had my first fault - a corroded door button, which cost me £4.55 and took about 30 mins to fit.

I had the same thing happen to me but I got it sorted by HHC while they did a few things for me. It happened to the Chim, so I wasn't suprised. They checked both doors and cleaned up all the connections.

To think that you beat me to that car by a couple of days and this is your first problem.

I've torn mine to bits in the same length of time.

The pipe on mine melted by the battery and manifold. I replaced it with some samco heat resistant hose 4mm. Comes in different colours.
