Don't know about cerbs but spoilers spoil air and if fitted underneath a car should slow down the airflow thus generating downforce. If it's a mod known to work I'd fix it.

apparently its a standard fitment.looks like mines been ripped off.extra down force has got to be a good thing, just wondering if it actualy works on a cerb

Mines not got one either, if I did fit one, I don't think it'd last 2 minutes with the f***in speed bumps in my village.

speed humps are an annoying problem especialy with my over weight ass in the car.
car feels front end light at anything over 120. front end needs setting up as tracking is out so that won't help, but will replacing the missing spoiler help?

was having a poke around underneath as you do,noticed some holes towards the rear edge of the glass section under the front that looked like something had been ripped out. used the search and came up with acouple of threads about a small bent ali plate that gets knocked off and thought wonder if it works

Ok.

I don't think I have that on mine either.

Anyone got a picture so I can be sure?

they do have a small beneficial effect on stability but they help the cooling really by forcing more air into the rad, There's one on the Griffmera's as well.

That's the first time I've come across that.

There's definitely NOT one on my car.

Are they beneficial?

In other words, will it be worth my while to make one?

Now the real question is do they face forwards or backwards? They are not fixed on very well obviously from the amount of people with them missing. Mine fell off at highish speed, went under the wheels and got flicked up high at the back of the car, thank god there was no one following me closely.

My take on the forwards or backwards thing is it faces forwards, as if you watch the Clarkson Cerbera race clip you can see in one of the shots it facing forwards just abouts and that was a brand new car from the factory at the time.

most of the stuff i've read /seen suggests it points backwards

Although just to confuse there is a school of thought it should face the other way silly

Backwards would seem the obvoius way for it as, even though forwards would push the air out to the sides and create an area of lower pressure under the car, the Cerb body surely isn't strong enough to hold the spoiler in any position other than backwards.

I hope that's not too confusing, but it makes sense to me. wobble

On my previous Chimaera it faced forwards (as did all the other Chimaera ones I saw), and
a) it did work to stabilise the car over a ton, and b) it kept getting ripped off.

Mine points backwards.

I think that if it faces forwards then it's most likely to get ripped off if it catches on anything, whereas a rear-sloping one might just drag over. (re Clarkson vid) Maybe the earliest ones were front-facing before being changed?
