Looks like aI've lost a sync cone as I can't change down into 2nd (can change up into 2nd fine).

So at the moment I have to clutch down and then change from whichever gear to 1st and then slide into 2nd (without bringing the clutch up).

Darn it

True. I'm not convinced it's a sync cone issue now as she won't double-declutch. HAS to go into 1st before coming back down to 2nd

These really dont have to be specia££ist jobs, a good gearbox man is a good gearbox man. Olton Transmissions by me, Shirley, Solihull, really are good guys and they dont care what badge is on the bonnet.

And you are sitting near a rather large gearbox transmission specialist called gravesand transmissions.

Unlikely as it was checked / changed not long ago... I'll do it anyway though

sorry but sounds like selector fork could be loose/loosening, had it before (but not on t5). Ended up selecting 2nd AND 4th together which jammed the 'box so you gotta get the clutch down quick to avoid serious damage (and a very quick stop).

Funny enough I was discussing this with a buddy last night who has had some gearbox experience (not with TVRs and such like but a gearbox is still a gearbox) and he suggested it may have something to do with the selector.

It's still a little heavy going back into 2nd on a downchange but loosening up and not particularly strenuous.
