Check this thread out

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=377259&f=6&h=0

and do a search. This has been asked a million (maybe a billion) times recently & you should hopefully be able to find a whole ton of info.

If I had £15k to spend in the classifieds, Id be looking at the two 99, 4.5's.

Or the 70k 4.2 at £11K, recentish rebuild. plus £4k left over for sometoys.

I was going to say: 15K is a good starting budget. I'd suggest finding one for slightly less and keeping a little back for servicing/emergencies

But - having just looked - all the prices have gone back up again since I bought mine.

I agree with RussellM, the 4.2 is an excellent buy and money over for you!!

It's just had a new clutch plate, slave cylinder and battery fitted so thats all your initial expensive costs out of the way!

Leven were impressed with the 70K miles, and how good it was when I picked it up yesterday!
