This may open a whole can of worms with people expressing differing opinions.
Decats and Sports Exhaust is very [/b[LOUD, people will stare at you as you drive past.
Decats and standard exhaust is a great sound, not much louder than standard for normal driving, but put your foot down and you get a lovely angry BARK.

Give it a try, it's easily reversible and saves the cats for that rainy day. I've been decatted for over a year and even got through an MOT last month with them out. Twas a special MOT to be sure

There is also a big difference IMO in the type of de-cat, the linked one from TCS is much quieter than the standard (non linked) de-cat.

I have heard both side by side (on tickover) and the difference is noticable.

Put De-cats on my 4.5 about 3months ago along with sports exhaust, while it is slightly louder generally the main difference is on the over-run especially when its had a good blast and you shut off after high-revs!Fit em and enjoy!!!

Fit and enjoy! I'm 7db louder at normal revs and 12db louder at peak but with far more (and much louder) pops and bangs on the overrun.
