My car has just started the dreaded starter motor click, Starts fine when it is cold, but after a long run, it just clicks' when I hit the starter button, and I have to wat until the engine cools down. I've searched the threads but cant find a definitive answer. There are various opinions and advice, and Ive tried the all.
have a new battery, new bi fuse and new big fuse holder. - I'm resigned to having to replace the starter, but would feel happier t have my diagnosis confirmed.
Also is replacement a do-able DIY job, ad if so what is involved, and how long?,

Yes, easy diy job, if you're half way to competant with a socket set. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours start to finish.
