None of it sounds "good" to me.

Apart from the Essex bit. Of course.

But if you're keen get down there, but I would get it checked over by a pro.

Thanks for the quick reply,

I'll be than getting over there and have a look....

Anything special I should be aware of in cars (specific cerbs) that were in storage for longer periods?
(apart from if they move at all )

Anyone already been over there and seen the car? Does anyone know the car?
If so please smash on the head if it's a lemon.

By the way, the car will be driven by my girl...how bout that? biglaugh

anyway she'll probably want to have it resprayed in pink.....or yellow, cause this seems to be the fastest colour around...(anyone ever seen a cerb with barbie in AND all over it?)paperbag

boxedin (here we go again)

you want to be careful about the cluth, mine was only standing for 5/6 months and it went within 100 or so miles of it being ran, release bearing first then fingers. I think the slave seals are risky too if left standing, im sure the tyres, shocks, brakes etc will need a good check!

Although it ought not to be a major problem, it'll probably need a new battery too. I'm no expert but they do seem to drain them a bit quick, let alone if it's been stood for a while.

Sorry, forgot to mantion it may be worth checking with insurers to see if being a Cat D has any significant impact on potential premiums.

I fear for the clutch to...but still, 15k miles!
Al seals will probably be gone and all fluids should be drained too.
It's going to be a lot of work to get her back on the road.... but still... the price?? still a bit to high for a cat D.
almost 12K plus al the other extra's for repairs?? rolleyes

But still... another one will be on the road again so anytime you see me drive by wavey

If anyone has more info... would be glad to hear, next week I'll take her for a test run..
