can't help but mine did exactly opposite with inside button broken but outside one working, within a week they both weren't working. Had to keep opening the door from the secret place

I had mine fixed when my car was serviced but my door was leaking so think it was water related getting in the elctrics

Are you talking about the button underneath the mirror? If so, its held on by a nut, you need to gently prise the mirror glass out (it pops out of a plastic holder) and then you can get to it. Spare buttons can be had from TVr Power or various electronic places.

Mine stops working every now and then, and its usually the block connectors on the inside of the door that need cleaning with contact cleaner etc.

Just done mine. The switches are from RS Components and are under a fiver each. RS Part number 321-278

First you have to carefully pop the mirror off. It's held in by 4 plastic catches. I started gently on an outside corner. Don't yank toomuch as it's heated and there are wires to remove.

It then helps to seperate the mirror into two halves. There are 4 obvious phillips screws inside the mirror, but there's one underneath as well, hidden by the mirror stem. You have to fold the mirror back to get to that one.

The switch itself has a nut holding it in. You need to undo this

The new switch comes without wires, and mine were just long enough so I added new wires and then joined to the old one.

Reassemble.
