Hi all, has anyone got a spare 4.2 ecu they don't want, mines gone a bol***k. I'm going to send it back to MBE to be looked at but was wondering if someone had a spare they no longer required that I could purchase.

Finally got this www.pistonheads.com/sales/145094.h car nearly sorted and the ecu starts playing up!

If a certain independant TVR specialist ever get around to giving mine back after 18 months, I would be happy to help out. Time for another call to them me thinks......

Is it the whole ECU you need or just the EPROM chip?

Its the whole unit I need.
Bell Hill have none in stock, so thats why I'm posting my original back to MBE today.
My Cerbie has cost just over 8K to purchase, repair, MOT, tax and insure so total bargain so far, plus had great fun working on it. Only driven it twice so really looking forward to the summer.

Have you tried Douglas Valley Breakers, they have a website for thier phone number and I know they have a cerbera or two in for breaking, I don't know what models/years they are or any prices. Worth a try.

I'm pretty sure the only difference is the fueling map. Any of the specialists should be able to confirm. Or APM can sell you an improved 4.2 chip to suit.

I have a spare ECU for a 1997 4.2. It is an MBE unit. Contact me on pberridge@busch.co.uk if its what you need and we can sort out a price.
