New springs too, perhaps?

The ones on my car were the originals and they had got weak with age when I got the car.

Once is enough to have to take the shocks out.

I have just put pro-tech rear shocks on mine, which are bump and rebound adjustable, but if you want single clickers they are half the money. To replace you have to undo the top upright bolt and pull the unit out, this will give you enough room to get the shock past.

ive recently done this, the rears were nice and easy and only took about half an hour for the pair, the fronts are a different matter though. You may want to spray the nuts with penetrating oil the night before though as they can be pretty tough to undo due to all the crap all over them. Also if you choose go get AVOs i'd recomment the rosejoint rather than poly bushes as these seem to split. Mine split after only a few weeks on the car....
