Had the car a week and 2 days It 4.0 speed 6. But now starting to wonder if i should have gone for 4.2 0r 4.5 as these seem to be the only one's any have any interest in. Is this the case?
Also is it much slower over all than the the other 2? Or is it good enough for to still be down to the driver? Assuming, of course that both are in the same ballpark (skill wise)

the s6 is still a very capable car, you shouldn't feel short changed at all.
the power/speed difference to the average man(or woman)is barely noticable.
also if your going to be using it a lot(like i do), i think its slightly easier to live with

It's only as slow as you want to drive it. There's not a lot of difference in the 1-100 figures, over 170, you might find the S6 gets left behind.

Hi !

Classic and sportscar called Cerb SP6, the best ever made TVR in may 2004. The reason was that it is a little bit more "user friendly" than the AJP:s.

My Cerb SP6 was rebuilt to 4.0S (380-405 bhp) spec in august 2005, and i don´t think my friends Cerb 4.5 LW feels any quicker than mine, it is more up to the driver.

Course you haven't! A friend of mine has just changed his 4.2 Cerbera for a Speed 6 one, out of preference! As has been said - it's a 'Cerbera' cloud9

In my experience this is very true, in the real world driving there is very little difference between the three.

If you like your car then you've bought the right one.

Look at it this way. The only reason the 4.5 is regarded as the daddy is that in the extreemly unlikely event that you find yourself head to head with another cerbera doing 150mph down a road, you better pray its not a 4.5 or you'll lose all self respect and probably the will to live. .

This is on the basis that the best performance mods are out there for the 4.5.

HOWEVER, look around the speed six version cars on other forums and you see a little trickle of people actually doing the supercharger thing rather than just talking about it. This is never going to be a well worn path for the 4.5, but just might be for the speed six.

So save your pennies cos possibly sooner or later you will be the hairy chested Cerb owner instead of the girly blouse cerb owner.

(Calling S6 owners 'girly blouses' was in no way designed to cause offence to the weaker sex, or drivers of girly speed sixes)

I've said it before but.. Cerbs are the nuts. You have to be mad to own one and use it daily. Embrass your madness, love your car when you are sober and your missus when you are not.

Welcome to speed six world

I think everyone is being very very kind. You did ask the question and no one has said much except support you ! The S6 is a better car for traffic jams. It sells for a good reason ie the S6 engine. I am sure things are gettting better if you have had a recent rebuild though.

I have had my S6 since last summer and it is awsome. Been out on the track a few times and it is plenty fast enough to put the chills up you and keep up with the clear majority of other cars on track.

Like was said above, unless you are head to head with a 4.5 then you'll be fine!

Bottom line... it's a cerb! Enjoy rotate

Ive had all three, and I loved the Sp6 version, and it was the only one that would wheelspin in the dry at 50 mph in 3rd gear!
