Replacement engine/ecu loom in attempt to fix lambda faults. Fingers crossed, lots of swearing on the way no doubt!

Hope that fixes it, I had a constant lambda fault on bank 1, ended up sending the ecu back to MBE. Turned out it was the ecu so sourcing one now.

Doesn't actually look too difficult. The lambdas are the only really pain in the bum things to get to, and I have changed one of those before. How bad can it be?? wink

Will it fix the problem is a whole other question though!!!

Is that the new one in the picture or the old one?

That's the 'new' one in the picture. Can't believe I paid so much for a used bit or wiring! And not even sure it will fix the problem. Can't wait until tomorrow to find out...........

£300, and yes, a clean would have been nice. Having a tea break at the mo. Just managed to extract the old loom. What a laugh. All was going ok, until I realised the wire for the 'oil switch' (whatever the hell that does??!!) is connected UNDER the even bank coil! Excellent! Had fun removing that. Will post pictures and update IF I get it working. So don't expect to hear from me for a while.

Well, all done. Not a job of a few hours, but then never expected it to be. Both lambdas now working fine, but the car was only running on one bank at first. The connection on one of the coils was a bit cruddy, cleaned that and all ok. The real pain was getting to the oil switch connection which is under one of the coils (pure genius TVR!!).

I now consider myself to be an expert on Cerbera engine wiring laugh , so if anyone ever needs any advice.........just take it to the dealer/specialist/anyone with very long and skinny arms!!

A few pics below, the one with the red ring shows the oil switch connection.

Also, whilst messing about, a random wire dropped out of the passenger footwell. Not connected to anything, but does anyone know what it is??

ARGH!!! Engine witout any wires!
