What scope of service do you expect from an indie?...Are you looking for quality or cheap, the full dealer experience or Jeff in a barn?...

Im writing a business plan so I'd like as many veiws as possible..

for me its all about service level and confidence of using someone who knows what they are talking about. Although I am sure most people feel confortable about using someone who is factory trained I suppose thes cars are not rocket science as a whole so experience on TVR race cars for example give lots of confidence! most of the indies survive on recommendation so top service has to come first.

A sensible expert in the field, that can also sit down and price jobs up to give a comprehensive list.

eg so many hours to fit a starter motor - if it takes longer then the price is the same.

eg so many hours to set up your tracking etc and the price in the list is the price you pay.

Price is the same of course barring problems with the car eg snapped bolts add on so much time ...
