Cooling fans

Hi chaps, only one of the cooling fans work(left one) or is this normal?

The left hand fan comes on first. The right hand one comes on as the temperature continues to rise, about a further 5 degree increase IIRC. Try leaving it running and see if the second fan comes on after a bit.

leve the car ticking over with bonnet up so you can see both fans one should cut in about 92deg the other should cut in about 97 deg

BTW they are cappilliary gauges and therefore totally innacurate. My gauge is 6C out which is about normal.
