That's true, the original Griffith was named after the American importer, Jack Griffith and he used a badge with a griffin motif on it. The Grantura was named because it sounded a bit like Grand Tourer and the Tuscan obviously because in the 60's Italian design was highly rated so it made it sound Italian! The Chimaera was the first proper mythological creature but named because it followed on from the Griffith/Griffin (sic). Cerberus is indeed a multi headed dog that guards the gates to Hades and a Sagaris is a warlords axe. Oh and Typhon (not Typhoon which is a strong wind) was something like the father to Cerberus!

Is there any truth in the rumour that an Italian lady,
Rosa Berrardelli named several of the cars?
What other TVR cars were named by her?
What is her connection with the company?
