Hi Fellas! can anyone tell me where on the engine the crank sensor is?(near the crank?) and hows best to get to it so i can clean it! also whats best stuff to clean it with? carb & brake cleaner any good?

Have you got a copy of the Service Manual as its in the engine section. Accessed from underneath and on the O/S next to the oil dipstick tube. Nice touch is remove the crank sensor wire then 'the M8 allen bolt needs to be removed with an M6 allen key due to the size of the head' Don't you love TVR's. Sensor should then slide out (unless you have to bend the dipstick out of the way). Not sure what to clean with, if unsure use petrol as everything around there needs to be designed to resist mineral oil and derivatives (not sure about other solvents such as carb cleaner) then stick it back in to discover it's actually the wiring thats got a break in it biggrin
