Finally, the Cerb should/will/hopefully be ready tomorrow afternoon. New engine is in situ, just the ancillaries to connect and then the first turning over smile

After nigh on 3 months of being Cerbless, I now have to take it easy (ish) and run-in the new engine for a couple of days, (1000 miles in a weekend...oh dear, shame biggrin), oil change early part of next week, then a 3k mile tussle with the roads of Scandinavia from Saturday onwards biggrin

Can't f**king wait.... bounce

Good news ! biggrin

I saw it at APM back in May looking a little grubby yuck - it'll need a DAMN good clean, but that can wait till you've driven it for a bit ! wink

Have fun !!! driving

That's very diplomatic of you, I'd have said it was "absolutely bl88dy filthy" myself and I should be ashamed wink

Wednesday next week has been cleared for a long overdue wash, wax n polish and a valet inside, courtesy of my new Meguires cleaning kit thumbup

Well I've taken 'certain measures' with the 3rd engine to grace my bay, that ensures NO more crank related issues will arise. wink

I take it Andy's fitted a billet crank for you this time. Was it an early small journal one or did it get lined bored for a later racer one. I'm also assuming its now up to 4.5 and probably cleaned out intakes too thumbup.

Oh yes got me a billet crank in there!! Not a racer crank as I couldn't stretch to that given the size of the bill anyway. And yes she is now a 4.5. (But I'm leaving it badged as a 4.2) wink

All in all.....

4.5 Block that needed a 'little bit of work' (Perfect heads tho) Completely stripped and cleaned.

NEW: Pistons (£££ ouch!), Liners, Rings, Chain, Big End Bearings, Mains, Rod Bolts, Main Cap Nuts, Seals, Shims, Head Gasket, Chain Guides & Slipper,

oh and a new clutch while I was at it smile Oh and other odds and sods that needed doing, (USJ, Brake Pads.... etc)

Just mustn't get too excited during the running-in period!!!! Mind you I just need to keep the final bill with to remind me to be that bit more careful...
