Just had my Cerbera 4.5 re gassed: new gas, oil and dye. The chap tested the system and said the only problem was poor compressor performance at low rpm which improved as the engine speed increased. Also, when I watched the compressor at idle, the clutch seems to release very quickly, just before the cooling fans come on then.

The general performance seems poor. From time to time I seem to get a blast of cold air, then nothing. What thype of tests can I run?

If the compressor is worn, can they be refurbished?

I think it is quite normal with the airflow to improve when the car is revving as opposed to ticking over, I was under the impression that this was the fans and not the A/C though. Or are you saying the air gets colder when revving? mine deginitely blasts out more air when revving......but the temp doesnt change......

The air actually gets colder as the engine speeds up and the compressor runs faster.
