Sticky stuff removal

There are old strips of velcro and neoprene tape when the bonnet rests on the body near the windscreen. I want to replace it. Any idea what type of solvent will remove the glue without taking the paint off?

once you have carefully pulled them off (a hair dryer will help to head the glue up) i'd suggest WD40 and a finger to lightly scrape off. I wouldn't use any harsh solvents though. You may need to use some tcut and polish afterwards to nice and shiny again.

If you need the little round bobbin thingys you can get them from TVR power for 80p or something each. I did this little job last weekend!
