Just wondering. The dealer I sold it to appears to have sold it on now. R9 DKB, Halcyon Hebrides.

It's replacement still hasn't arrived frown

Eh? Someone came and collected them -- said you'd told him I had them and that he could collect from me on his way to Brands Hatch. Guy with a purple Cerb.

Yes, that's right. Gary was his name. I was in a panic there for a minute -- I don't have his number or e-mail address and I thought I'd given your silencers away to some charlatan!

I've got a BMW Z4M Coupe on order. Which is kind of a bit like a German TVR, without being a Wiesmann.

Hi Carl, that would be me then biggrin

Don't suppose you could give me any info on what the cars had done, and why you sold her?

I see from the invoices with it, its not been a cheap car to run.

btw, I drove her down from the garage all the way to Cornwall and she never missed a beat, never went over 100 deg even when stuck in traffic. I'm chuffed to bits with the car.

Fortunately all the expensive stuff was done before I owned her, but in my ownership the only changes have been:
New tyres
New rad
Protech dampers courtesy of Joolz (I like them as they are, but you can twirl the adjusters up to make them harder if you prefer -- the rears are on the back of the units and the fronts are on the front. Clockwise for harder, anticlock for softer)
Linked decats

Sold because I wasn't using her enough, and after 3.5 years wanted to move on.

Am I likely to have problems with the decats come MOT time? The Garage told me they were sports cats and thus no problems.

Gareth thats very kind of you,

Sounds like I may have to take you up on the offer when the time arrives. I shall be having words with the garage though as its one of the reasons I went for this one with 'sports cats'.

Well it passed two MOTs with the linked decats in place. Maybe they've been swapped out for cats since I sold her?

I'm confused

Am I right in thinking that the car is NOT decated and the original CATs have been replaced by sports CATs?

If so then your sports CATs should pass the MOT fine
(unless the car is decated you will need to replace the CATs for the MOT)

Sounds very much decated biggrin Its going to the dealers Nr Exeter tomorrow, I'll ask them to check, tbh I'm not all that bothered if its the reason it sounds soooo good.

Didn't get home in time to come down today Gareth, whens the next meet?

It does sound fantastic, far better than when it had the (deteriorating) cats in. Trouble is I measured it at 118dB on my noise meter, which means it's ineligble for nearly every UK trackday.

The noise and looks nearly persuaded me to keep it, but it was time to move on. Hope you enjoy her as much as I have. I can post you my iPod cassette player adapter if you like? It's no use to me, but I sold to a trader so I wasn't going to include any freebies smile

This is my first TVR, and according to the dealers today, its a 'cracker'. Its in very good order aparently, although it is going in on Monday for the upper UJ in the column which I thought was bad, but they say its pretty lethal.eek

The mechanic said he usualy only ever recommends Nitrox shocks? But that the ones fitted were fantastic.

Big thanks to you Carl for looking after it so well bow

Gareth, I'll give the TVR club a ring, would be fun to come along.
