I'm nervous of hitting the throttle pedal hard because I don't want to stress or snap the throttle cable (the previous owner did). Is there any adjustment to limit the travel of the throttle pedal to match the full throttle position of the butterfly? That way I could hit the throttle as hard as I want without worrying about the cable.

There is a bolt on the pedal box that should be adjusted to stop the pedal movement before it stretches the cable.
You'll need to be upside down in the footwell to get to it.

Joo at TCS has an interesting little mod on the throttle linkage, it's designed to do exactly as you wish as well as smoothing out simultaneous delivery to both banks, email him and he may send you a few piccys....worked for me.

Well, I managed to turn myself upside down and slide into the driver footwell and found the throttle pedal stop screw. Guess what, it was about 1/2in short of where it should be. A few spanner turns and it should be ready for my big foot again.

Now I know what a bat feels like sleeping upside down.

Thanks chaps. Just spent an hour on the throttle adjustment. On the original setting, full throttle on the pedal was actually taking the butterfly over top-dead-centre and closing it! Pedal stop is now set accurately. One big foot = one big lump of power with no worries.
