When will this end...

Well after a five week wait (collision with a scaffold pole on a duel carriageway) I picked my car up today. It was quite a big job requiring engine + gearbox and all the other connected bits coming out the car to replace the sump. I also had the 12k service and tappets adjusted whilst she was in (due in a few weeks anyway).
Unfortunately on the way home the car was driving really rough and hesitating when trying to accelerate. I took it back to the garage and it seems the lambda sensor (the one on the rhs of laptop screen) was reading 0 constantly. I guess this means I need a new sensor?
I have had a quick read on the forums and have found the following links:

http://www.racetechdirect.co.uk/product-subsection...
http://www.clever-trevor.net/search.html?search=la...
I have an AJP 4.5 - Are all these going to fit? Also, does anyone have an idiots guide to fitting one or should I just get the garage to do it?
Second, I though I might as well take the car home but after 10 miles the clutch started to feel real odd. It goes down OK, the car will go into gear but the pedal comes up far too easy. The gear does not engage (the car will rev with no movement) for a few seconds then BANG – the car is in gear and lurches forward. Again, any ideas, could this be caused by having all the engine out work?
Any help will be appreciated – I feel pretty p155ed off about the whole thing, I just want my car to run like it used to.

To my ill-educated ears, that sounds like the clutch bearing not releasing properly or the pressure plate springs catching on something? For a start if the gearbox and flywheel has been out to sort the sump then get the car straight back to the person who did that job to sort you're clutch as I'm pretty certain that will be the cause of that problem.
The Lambda's are fine, as long as you replace a 2 wire with a 2 wire etc then all will be fine.
Get a proper TVR from CT etc as the sensors are modified I believe.
Easy to do yourself if you're happy to get a little dirty although if you're getting the same garage to do the Clutch then get them to fit that as well. tbh they could well have damaged that in the process of removing the gearbox as it's quite tight under there and I bet you they left at least one manifold on.

I have had my brake master cylinder fixed there before for a very good price and I was happy with the work. Today though I was disappointed with the car considering all the work that had been done on it. I expected it to be fine.
