Nice morning so decided to go out in the cerb, then the weather changed to the wet stuff, pressed windscreen wiper buttons....nothing no movement nothing.
Ive checked fuses in boot all seems good, all the other buttons work on the steering wheel. When i do push the wiper and wash buttons on steering wheel i do hear a clicking from passengers foot well, some type of relay?? So im guessing its not the ribbon cable.
Any ideas on where i should start to look to get the wipers going again?
Many thanks

Hi Ricky

Not the best of weather to have no wipers.

There's a list of threads on wiper problems which you may find helpful here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/search4.asp?h=0&f=&t=&p=1&s=r&noDays=730&guid=CE35FA94-051C-4DB6-B35D-3869C8AEAB72&search=+%2Bwiper+%2Bcontrol+%2Bbox

I'd go for one of these:

Faulty wiper control box in passenger footwell next to ecu(also check the connections)

Fault on wiring between control box and wiper motor (there's a connector block to check close to the wiper motor accessed by removing the large cover at the bottom of the windscreen)

Faulty wiper motor (may need replacing)

Faulty wiper park swich?

Hope thread list helps you in diagnosis

Regards
Simon

As above, but another strong contender is that the wiper motor (n/s corner by windscreen), connecors etc will be crudded and/or corroded somewhat. Take it all out and give it a good clean/scrape.

would the faulty connectors on wiper motor prevent the washer jets from working because they dont work either, not they are much good anyway lol, will have a look at the other threads, i didnt realise there was a wiper control box near the ecu, i do hear a clicking coming from that way when i push the buttons, think i will have a look at that first.

Many thanks
