3/4 or bonnet mounted plate...?
Discussion
About to assign a new plate so having some new ones made up - can't decide whether the Cerb suits bonnet mounted or not, were a couple on Cerburgring and they did look good.. I think... arrgh!!!
The alternative is 3/4 size plate in normal position. Can't decide what's the consensus (and any pics would be helpful, particularly bonnet mounted). Car is green if that makes a difference and plate will be 5 digits. Could always do 3/4 size bonnet mount

I could knock you up a quick self adhesive bonnet plate if you want, it won't be reflective but it will give you an idea if you like it or not, then you can get a reflective one made if you like it.
Shoot me an email: tim @ cerberafourtwo.co.uk if you want one.
Just pay for the postage m8.

Spill the beans, TC, what's the new plate then?
GAY 130Y

MB it's not a particularly special one - S8 CBY, a £250 cheapy from the DVLA, just fancied something a bit shorter and thought it looked ok. Meant to be read a Speed8 Cerby, but whenever I look at it now it looks a bit like Scooby so maybe it should be on Subaru

An alternative option (though not 100% sure about the legality of it) ..... fabricate a number plate that'll fit on the back of the sun visor and leave the passenger side sun visor down all the time.
My car had the "horrible" stick-on plate on the bonnet when I got it and I replaced that with the sun visor one for about 4 months 'til I re-registered it over here.
The law stopped me but didn't ever mention the plate location.
Then again, it was a UK registered car on Irish roads so perhaps they thought I was a "tourist".

I've had a 3/4 size front plate fitted for a while now. Not only does it suit the car better than a full size one, it doesn't attract too much attension from the BIB.

Perfect vehicle, looks just like mine
......without the stone chips...
...or the curbed alloys...
...and different numbers on the plate!

3/4 plate every time, TC. I like the stick on too, but I don't think it suits a Cerb that well.

Believe me it does have stone chips but they're not too bad. Trouble is how long do you leave it before getting it resprayed only to get chipped again. Is yours Moonraker, Sapphire, Nebula or some other black?
To me the only car that a bonnet plate suits is an E Type roadster but that's just my opinion.

loving the high res pic (im a high res junkie, low res stuff drives me nuts)also loving the headlight setup, it seems perfect, modern yet not too "fussy" since theres only two main pods, more than two can start to look "acne-ish" a bit i think, but this looks really good I think! we all know the headlights are a real marmite issue anyway, just my 2p!

Moonraker. And now that I have knackered the paint on the doors through over-zealous Le Mans stickering, the respray is firmly on the winter to-do list.
