Evening all,

I've decided as the Cerb is going so well at the moment, I'm going to give her some TLC and refurb the wheels this weekend.

I just can't decide which colour to go for,

Its between a nice silver or some sort of anthracite/grey, here is a previous effort I did on my Alfa, and was thinking maybe this colour again, but then again not sure it goes well with a black car.

Any comments or suggestions welcome smile

Yup,

Got all I need in the garage and they looked the dogs last time..

Its quite satisfying doing them yourself.

Do you think it would work on a black car?

Wheels have got to be silver. If tyres were silver, black contrasting wheels would be OK. But black wheels an black tyres? Nah - when the car is moving it looks like you just have 2 big round black blobs. Not pretty.

Should be picking my car up tomorrow with its new set of anthracites. Must admit I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out and how they look with the car.

I like gold wheels, but the kids hated them and made me change them back

I've been through the same thoughts myself - black, anthracite or silver. I ended up staying with silver on my black car because it was smart and contrasted nicely. Black looks very mean but a bit trying-too-hard, and I felt that anthracite against black just didn't go well in the flesh (looks fine in photos for some reason!).

I'm sure someone has some photos of Mad Mark's car which is black with black...

I will post a picture of mine up as soon as I pick the car up today, fingers crossed. Not sure myself how it will look but I will soon find out.

Im with the beanz chap. Not convinced about anthracite personally.

Refurbed/new wheels are on my hitlist (after a farking new manifold frown) and not sure whether to stay with the current polished ally, which looks the dogs when polished, (but I cant be arsed to keep doing it) or go for black. Then is it matt or gloss black scratchchin

I have anthracite wheels, and whilst I'm happy with the look, I quickly realised that anthracite doesnt show brake dust- added bonus!

Decided on Silver as I too thought a dark colour is sort of trying to hard, hardly needed with a Cerb cool, just off to get the tyres removed now.. I'll post some pics of how they turn out after the weekend.

Of course, you could always get yourself a second set of wheels in anthracite/black for when you WANT to try too hard! biggrin
