from experience, I would say find a good local independant tvr specialist, and before buying any car, have it checked thoroughly by a good independant.thanks in advance people
If I was to buy again, I'd probably want to buy a known car from an enthusiast forum member who I know is fanatical about maintaining the car, even if such a car was priced much higher, it would be worth every penny.
have enough cash for running costs (if you cant afford £3k pa for servicing and repairs PLUS tyres and ins and fuel then dont do it)
enough patience, humour and resiliance for problems
a spare car
an intimate relationship with your spcialist
trawl the old threads
find a car owned by someone who has spent the cash (eg my old ones!)
dont buy on price or spec or mileage
BUY ONE !
At your budget I would go for a 4.2 V8. Avoid the S6.
