Can the elbow rest be removed?

Obviously I missed something.I've had a look and can't find anything that related to the bit I'm after.
AS for it being part of the tunnel / dash panel, it sits on the big panel and is held in place by 2 x M6 bolts.
I've removed the nuts and washers off the underside but the pad itself won't move.
It appears to have been glued in place.
I don't want to force it any more in case I break something, hence the post on here to see if someone else has managed to remove it.

Update time .....
Well there's really nothing to add.
I've failed miserably to get it out of the car.
It does look like it should come out and, having used a strong hairdryer on it, the adhesive did seem to be softening but not enough to get it to move.
I know it's a small thing, but it's annoying me as, now that I can drive the car much 'til I get new brake discs for it, I now have a chance to get these little "tidy up" bits done.
Any further ideas, anyone, as to how it can be moved?
And no pictures of jack-hammers, explosives or similar please

It should work. They are not glued in place, unless done so by a previous owner.
I've removed two M6 nuts and washers from below the tunnel and a self-tapper from the RHS already but the pad will not budge. It must have been the work of a bored previous owner that's got it stuck in place.
Idle hands, eh?
