Whilst looking to sort my non cancelling indicators last night I came across this switch under the steering wheel, does anybody know what it is for?

Many Thanks.

That doesnt look standard. Is probably either a cut off to the ignition for security or an override to put the fans on permanently (maybe the car runs hot in traffic)

got a similar thing on mine but for the hot fan - on = "full on" off =...well off! Mine i under the heater control though.

Ejector seat, torpedos, mines, "Spyhunter" oil slicks.

Have you switched it? go on you know you want to.

Yep just goes to prove ESP does not work as its not the aircon dial but a switch.

Your just going to have to do a wire trace that or flick and pray.

well I've flicked the switch and it doesn't seem to do anything.I tried tracing the wiring and it looks to be going towards the radiator fans.

On putting the cover back on I managed to break one of the washers mad where can I buy these?

It's almost certainly a fan override switch, although whether it still works is a different question.

I bought an imported MX5 many years ago, found a very long white cable tucked behind the centre console which turned out to have a switch on the end once I had pulled it all out. I just tucked it back in a pretended never to have seen it. I still wonder what it did....

In all my days I have never heard it called that before but I live and learn.
