Started discussing this on the Essex meet thread but felt it deserved it's own airing. So plan is to meet on the Western Edge of the M25 at Egham (Runnymede Hotel) and then potter anticlock to Clackets Lane where another bunch from the more easterly Surrey and South should be congregating. Dep times are 05.15 and 06.00 respectively with a plan to make the Essex group RV at Little Chef on the A12 before they push on at 07.00 - taking in of course the delightful Dartford Tunnel on our way there biggrin

Route and RV's something like this

clicky

Meet 0500 for 0515 departure Runnymede Hotel

Touching Cloth (Cerb)
Lucky P (Ultima)
Timmy2TARs (Cerb)(tbc)
Simon Maidenhead (Ultima)

Meet 0545 for 0600 departure Clackets Lane

(the above and )
Fubar (Cerb)
Keithyboy (Cerb)

Sounds good. All I need is a car grumpy. I miss it badly. But...if the planets are in alignment I'll be able to go and see one this weekend, it'll be the cat's a*se, it'll pass my stringent quality control (aka The Checklist), I'll put a deposit down and have the money to buy/collect it in time. It's a tall order but I've got everything crossed. The insurance company are due to make an offer for my previous P&J tomorrow..

Stop being such a picky old woman and get one bought - plenty of time later to spend thousands re-triming, respraying and rebuilding to get the car you really want - don't devalue the sense of satisfaction and warm glow you get from knowing you could have saved loads of dosh by being more patient and waiting for the right car - don't miss out wink

We should probably hook up just before the tunnell (see other thread) ?

Get a "passenger" to give one of us a quick call on a mobile as you pass junction 3 & we'll meet at the toll booths ! ears

Sounds like a plan stan, think there is even a little pull in on the left just after the paybooths so as long as we are all fairly close we could hole up there (or whoever gets there first) to maximise the cacophony - will fire you my number by email and if send me yours back then we can liaise on the day.

Hehe, like it. But it now transpires that the insurance company took one look at the parkers guide price and decided to revisit the repair option. 4 weeks in, they've decided to consult a TVR specialist to see if it's a goer after all. Quite tempted to buy another in the meantime! Could be months... frown

Buy my "loan TVR" laugh

£10250 for the car

And £150 a year for the oil that she's getting through.

If your insurance comes through, I can take the old girl back in part ex against the 4.5 if you like it smile

Is yours the one, that went up as a result of the pos lead touching the manifold ?

Yea that's the fella. Not liking the idea of being cerbless. Seriously considering taking TC's advice and splurging the family savings on a lemon. smile

TC, are we actually stopping at Dartford Hilton? I have to pick up 'the runt' from there. If not stopping I'll just head off 5 mins ahead of you all. Need to make sure I have time to get my second breakfast in at the Little Chef on the A12 wink

Someone noble that Ultima whilst its parked wink
