OK, so the title got your attention, but I'm afraid I have no photos of beavers.

The tenuous link is that I have a conundrum I need solving. I have been 'beavering' away on my series III E-Type, in order to get it back to MOT standards. It has been gathering dust over the last 10 years, and having bought the cerbera, my innevitable trangression back into tinkering with cars has re-ignited my interests.

Thing is, one of them will eventually have to go.frown

So without going into the usual 'whatever floats your boat' and 'it's a matter of opinion' stuff, I am looking for some good responses as to which car to sell and why.

ideaMy gut feeling is to get shot of the E and put a car lift in the garage with some of the proceeds, so that I can preen and stroke the underbelly of the Cerb. I am however as mad as a mongoose at a cobra convention, so words of wisdom are needed. These wise words will need to be relayed to the Missus who thinks the Cerb is the AntiChrist.yes

Get rid of the E-Type. One of the ugliest cars. Honestly, I really don't 'get' this E-Type reverence at all. Bloody sheds.

Just like my shed I have had to remove a few dead mice and rats out of it over the past few years. There was a crispy specimen waiting to great me when I opened the Driver's door at the weekend

Go with gut feel.

The E-type is an icon (you can debate why, but it is) and even after 40 years retains wide appeal. The aftermarket backup for the E-Type is excellent, and they will probably continue to hold their value well etc.

So the sensible option is the Jag.

But you don't always have to make the sensible choice. smile

Right, sell the wife. If you don't want to do that then rent her out. With the proceeds buy a lift, put Jag' on lift, raise lift, put Cerb' underneath, job done. biggrin

My thoughts exactly. (Cerb underneath lift that is, rental on the Missus would not fund subscription to TV Times)

What a great position to be in!!!!! errrr E-type or Cerb???????
I would say if your interested in keeping a car for an investment then the E-type! although i think Cerbs will eventually start to increase in value! but if you want a car for pure driving thrills the Cerb is hard to beat! I think it comes down to wich car brings you the most pleasure?thumbup

Spooky!

Had a thread on TIF (Toyota Imports Forum) that ended up with hairy, wet beavers. They may be a pest but we keep going back for morehehe
