engine misfire
Discussion
Not that its really causing too much of a problem but I noticed today that when I give it some welly - accellerating up to 5k revs ish - the engine misfires slightly. It seems to do it if I try to pull away without changing down as well. it runs fine at low revs
A search suggests ht leads/coil packs.
its a 4.2 - anybody suggest where I should look first
cheers

Check for loose HT leads to the plugs. A search suggests ht leads/coil packs.

Mr F
Have and had a similar problem.
Was fixed for 2 weeks after a coil change but has reappeared.
I suspect it's the other coil.
Check your HT Leads are seated on the plugs and coil packs first.
My +ve on my battery was loose. Could cause issues I guess under hard acceleration with current being drawn??
If not then maybe it's one of your coil packs.
