The standard indicators on the Cerbera is really annoying having to give a second press to cancel, has anyone ever replaced them with a standard type - would keep the aluminium stalk if I could just replace the internals? wouldn't be so bad if I had audible indication when they are on, as I believe the later Cerbs had.

I've got a Cerb on a 96 plate with no audible signal for indicators, but clearly marked on the PCB are terminals to solder one in.

Could be possible to update if it's just the one part missing, as i recently see the item but can't remember the site.

Im sure there was a thread a while back about someone who bought an audable(sp?) buzzer from Halfwits or some such and wired it into the indicator wire in the boot somewhere. Simple job iirc.

I have a 98 and its audible. Uses the same buzzer as the mil light. Theres an adjustable pot at the back of the dash so it might be turned down. I turned mine down cause the mil light has a habit of flashing on sometimes which can be feckin annoying!

Sparky,

Check your lambda sensors. Mine had a habit of going like morse code on my old cerb, but only very occasionally, usually on a long run. Obviously when I took it the dealer it behaved itself furious. I eventually convinced the dealer to check out the fault codes and we found an intermittently faulty lambda sensor.

Worth a quick look with the laptop.

I think I remember reading that.

A buzzer and two diodes, wasn't it?

Checked it on the laptop and came to the same conclusion just haven't got round to sorting it. I want to get the mapping done first cause I dont think thats helping.

Admittedly use mine everyday, so am used to it, but don't forget that if you hold the stalk in position for more than a second, you do not need to cancel. Ideal for overtaking.

I was told by a dealer that you had to manually cancel the indicators on the Cerb, but mine cancel automatically......

(they also beep)
